SCTAC/Inland Port
Operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) within airport environments demands a deep understanding of FAA regulations and a commitment to safety. VBS offers a decade of experience in both military and commercial aviation, providing a unique advantage in this specialized field.
For example, our recent work at Donaldson Airport involved the detailed documentation of the facility while ensuring uninterrupted air traffic. This project showcased our ability to develop and execute complex flight plans, adhere to stringent safety protocols, and maintain seamless communication with air traffic control, ultimately delivering comprehensive visual data for the project stakeholders

Anderson University
Project Delivery: Optimizing Scope, Schedule, and Cost. Effective construction management hinges on maximizing value while efficiently controlling the critical constraints of scope, schedule, and budget. This is particularly crucial for stakeholders and project sponsors.
Complex projects, such as the Anderson University athletics complex expansion, often present unique challenges. These can include confined work zones, ongoing campus activities, and logistical limitations. This project represents a significant step in the university's athletic program's evolution and is the second of several planned campus improvements.
To address these complexities and provide a clear path forward, VBS leveraged advanced technology creating a precise site point cloud and a detailed Revit model for Hogan Construction. VBS then provided comprehensive modeling facilitating detailed planning and execution for the new facility's construction. Lastly, VBS also provided ongoing progress monitoring to ensure the project stays on track.

Zenith Property Group - Carolina Fashions
Brownfield real estate development presents unique challenges, especially when Redeveloping brownfield sites, especially large, multi-level structures like the Carolina Fashions building, presents significant documentation challenges.
Traditional field measurement methods can be time-consuming, costly, and prone to error, particularly in complex spaces. For this project, laser scanning offered a superior solution. By rapidly capturing millions of data points, we created a highly accurate point cloud of the existing conditions, including the building's intricate, compartmentalized layout and the complexities posed by the active sales area and extensive inventory. This data was then used to generate a detailed BIM that met USIBD LOA 20 standards for all architectural and structural components.
The resulting model provided the design team and owner with a comprehensive understanding of the existing conditions, enabling them to make informed decisions and avoid costly rework. Compared to traditional methods, laser scanning delivered substantial time and cost savings, accelerating the project timeline and maximizing return on investment."
